Last Tuesday I was having a late night chat with my dear friend Kim Espinosa and while we were talking she was in the process of making cookie dough. While in college, this one was of the many treats she and her roommate Lindsey were constantly asked to bring to our slumbers (with a little bit of raw oatmeal for Grace...) Many, many, many times the cookie dough never made it to the oven, 8 college girls would just spoon feed ourselves until the point of no return.
Cookie Dough actually reminds me of me and Bryson "beginnings". He found out that I loved cookie dough, and got a recipe from his sister Jill. I think it was when I got back to my apartment from Thanksgiving 2006, he brought me over 2 freshly wrapped logs of homemade cookie dough! :)
Ever since talking to Kim, I had this craving for it. Last Thursday, rather than my usual post-work workout I made a beeline for HEB. I headed straight for the family sized Pillsbury chocolate chip packaged cookie dough tube!! Once I was home I scooped a few spoonfuls in a bowl, layed on the couch and vegged out on two old episodes of Gilmore Girls. Let me tell you...it was one of my most enjoyable afternoons all week!!
So we've had the tube in the fridge for the last week and have been munching on it. I've had a few scoops here and there, Bryson claims he's had about a spoonful a day....I beg to differ. It's more than half way gone!! Tonight I decided to bake the rest of it, since we'll be gone for a week. It baked about 15 cookies and were delicious! I still can't decide if I like the actual raw dough or the cookie? I'm a fan of both!
