Treat

I love coffee! I'm totally not addicted, but I like the taste of it...with sugar and cream. I rarely actually go to coffee shops these days. (It's way over priced and well I have kids with me) Though I would actually like to venture to some Houston coffee shops one day.

Anyways back to coffee...Parker and I were ready extra early (thanks for waking up at 6am kids) we made a little stop at Starbucks before MOPs.

I keep hearing of their new Chestnut Paraline Latte! So I got one...

It was SO good!!! Not super sweet but has a good flavor! I will hopefully get one again before the season is over! You should try one!

Growing

Kids are funny. Like real funny sometimes. Some days they barely eat anything, some days are normal and then most days they eat all things in sight!

This is what Violet ate yesterday:

-2 over easy eggs, 2 pieces of toast, a bowl of raspberries, applesauce, 6 inch meatball sub sand which, Cheetos, grapes, string cheese, pretzels, cherrios, Mac n cheese, zucchini and squash and baked chicken.

Seriously.

Cold and comfort

It's been so cold this week and my refrigerator is looking bare! No correlation. Just saying. But I did manage to make a comfort food meal out of what we did have!

Behold:
We so fancy we use paper bowls

But seriously eaiest meal. ev.er. I'm not even sure what to call it but my dad use to make it and now I make it.

Ground beef and spinach

-brown 1lb meat. Drain. Add 2 tbsp (or more) chopped/minced garlic. Mix. Add a couple shakes of Soy Sauce. Add 2 cups fresh spinach. Mix and cover and BAM! Done!

Egg Drop Soup
---so easy! Followed a recipe on Pinterest and literally took like 10 mins and I had all the ingredients!

Yum! And we reeeeeally like garlic so the vampires won't be visiting us tonight :)

Sunday

I did it! Blogged everyday this week! Woo!

We drove back from being out of town and stopped for a delicious sushi lunch:

Sushi Sunday

Since we missed church this morning we decided to go to the 5pm service. We've never been to the evening service, and it was great! Low fuss getting ready, less people at church AND the kids Sunday school class feeds them dinner!!! Awesome! We ran into a lot of the kids teachers, who are all so sweet!

Also if you never knew, I really like hand me downs. They clothes are already worn in and usually free or very inexpensive. This outfit is ((almost)) all handme downs:
Thank you friends!!

Bryson cuts his own hair. And he has the best curls ever when his hair gets long. But today was hair cut day and this it what happens in the process:

Crazy hair!

Saturday

This Saturday started with a family snuggle. Apparently (as told by Violet), Parker went in her room this morning and sat on her bed until she woke up. "He was sitting there when I woke up" and they came in at 6:30am...oh weekends!

Anyways B and I are at an out of town wedding and enjoying a kid free 24hrs.  We stopped in East Bernard for lunch at Vinceks Smokehouse.  My friend Cindy grew up there and recommened this place....and it does not disappoint! It's a little hometown favorite and really good! We has their chop beef sandwich, sausage, potato salad and a pumpkin kolache. Omg! So good!

Lunch date

Pumpkin Kolache

So the hotel we are staying at is new...like brand new. It's very nice and cleane. When we came to the second floor where our room is, they are literally putting the other beds together. Our bed/room was already put nicely together, thankfully.

The wedding was a blast! Keeley was a girl I mentored while I worked with CRU. She also went on to work with CRU but in New York, working along side other artists and being a light of hope in a dark city. It was fun to catch up with friends and get dressed up. I love how weddings  always bring back memories of my wedding, my commitment and covenant I made with God and Bryson. It's good stuff to remember and remind myself of.

Driving to La Grange

If you didn't know I loooove to dance! And the reception had a live band (random with a fiancĂ© of a girl I went to high school with, who was in the band) and they were really good! Even Bryson's danced with me, which doesn't happen very often. I had a great time dancing, hanging fun and catching up with old friends.

Congrats Keeley and Clayton!!

Aren't they a gorgeous couple!?!?

Friday

Violet informed me today "I need a heavy jacket bc it's cold. I need a puffy one"

Your wish is granted. A girl knows what she wants.

Parker and I made a trip to Academy, he hid in the clothes racks and threw a ball around while I browsed. I've decided I want all the things in the women's section of academy. I will be sporty spice for the rest of my life. Thankfully P-diddy didn't let me try on anything, so sadly my new image is sporty spice will have to wait.

Parker has been SO much more vocal these last few weeks! It's awesome and amazing and frustrating and hilarious! He is really trying to use his words and phrases....and sometimes says anything for a treat. Today his favorite phrase was "hi--eeee mommieeeee! Hi-eeee mommmmie" all day long!

He also decided to ear lunch like this:
Whatever gets him to eat!

I also stayed up way to late watching 3 back to back episodes of Greys Anatomy (season 3). Woah! Intense! Thanks netflix!

Thursday

Shoot! A day late! But I remembered while folding laundry I did post yesterday.

The kids and I met up with my parents at memorial city mall. The new indoor playground is all the rage! Literally! It's so cool! Lots to climb and play on!
Cutesr little people ever!

It has been freezing this week, so it was nice to have somewhere warm(er) for the kids to play. We had a great time and got home for a late nap. Not going to lie, I love when they take late naps bc then they wake up closer to when B gets home and I'm less crazy :)

Wednesday

It is cooooold today! I didn't feel like getting dressed so I wore this:

My favorite leggings (via target), workout shorts and a bright yellow tee! Works for me!

Also, what to eat Wednesday:

My lunch was Trader Joe's bag of Qunioa with veggies, hummus, carrots and a very crisp tortilla. I could eat this everyday!

Tuesday

Tuesday. You are busy.
-Running group
-therapy
-grocery shopping
-meeting tonight

I know doesn't sound like much. But with kids in tow it can get wild.

And I've been starving all day due to 5am running. Seriously all day hunger. I try to eat something every 2 hours. Even if that happened to be a delicious red velvet cupcake with glitter frosting! Oops! And lots of water!

Here is a snapshot of our after nap movie and snack:

Oatmeal and coffee and a snotty cute boy on my lap.

And a little girl behind me waiting for a selfie!

My dad is babysitting Pakrer while we go to a meeting. (v is coming with us) My dad never babysits  by himself. Should be entertaining!

Okay I'm going to try to blog a little each day. Let's see if I can.

And we had a cold front come through this afternoon

Monday

I ran 4 miles with Parker this morning. With, I mean pushing and that kid is heavy!

Now I'm doing this while he is napping!
 Watching parenthood

Yup we put up the Christmas tree last night! I've never put it up this early....and I love it!!!

Fun Friday

Fridays are a little tricky...V doesn't nap very well/ever at school so she can be very cranky after we pick her up. But sometimes it's easier to play at a park or run a short errand to extend a little until dinner/bedtime, rather than going home right away.

In the spirit of Fall and Halloween, we went and picked out pumpkins at whole foods and walk around a bit.

"I feel like an adult"

We came home and settled in to watch Curious George Boo Fest...with our pumpkins.

Little pumpkins

Above is Parker's actual pumpkin. He insisted in a "little pumpkin"! I wasn't sure if he would be mad later but he keeps telling me "little". Violet chose a big pumpkin (not pictured), and loves it!

Happy Fall and Fun Friday!

Bathroom Re-do::Part 2

Two months have past since my last bathroom update! We have made a little more progress, but it has been a slow process. We just keep telling ourselves we are literally saving thousands of dollars by doing it ourselves!

While I'll be completely honest and say sharing one bathroom between the 4 of us gets very crowded and messy...I'm continue to be thankful for a bathroom! Amen!

Soooo basically Parker's room is "done" meaning...it needs to be painted and new carpet...and then it will be done. Our closet is also "done" being worked in but also needs paint, carpet and shelves put up. Okay, both of these aren't done, but our main focus is trying to finish the bathroom.

The Bathroom has made some progress. The plumbers came back a few weeks ago to finish covering the drain and adjusting the pipes (I can't remember exactly, but the guy was super nice and told me about what he did and I politely said "oh great! Thank you so much!") This past weekend Bryson demo-ed our vanity, laid the concrete in the shower, build the shower curb, and put up the board behind the shower.

We have a shower curb

Also our tile is here!! I give all credit to Bryson designing and picking things out! It's not that I wasn't interested, but it sorta stressed me out trying to decide on top of having to take care of kiddos and ignoring the fact half our house is a wreck. (Remember, I'm very type A. So this is a for sure adjustment/learning process) Anyways here is our tile, just waiting for tile guy (with his translator) to come by and do some work!

White will be floor and the blue/green is the shower tile.

I'm looking forward to seeing what it will look like in the end!

Stay tuned!

Fun Friday

This week's Fun Friday was brought to you by: My Birthday!!!!!

After Parker and I picked up Violet we headed to the store to buy stuff to bake a cake (ie: box mix and frosting).

I have a love/hate relationship with the ages of my kids some days. But Friday was a good day, you never know what is going to happen or what is going to trigger a meltdown. Thankfully Violet took a nap at school and was is a great mood. We all walked in to the store without a basket. We only needed a few items and I was praying everyone would behave. We have done this several times before, some days it works some it doesn't!

Anyways everyone behaved and we bought our items and began to make my birthday cake!

"It's fun to decorate the cake without the boys"

The most decorated cake!! It was really fun as really good!!

Fours

"Daddy you are being very rude because you won't let me do want I want to do!"

-Y'all! Four year olds are tough and moody!

"Mommy are you still doing your exercises? Because I haven't seen you do them lately"

-They will catch you and keep you accountable.

"When I grow up I want to be a watermelon!"

-They are SO funny!!

"I really like snuggling with you. You're my favorite mommy"

-And then they are SO sweet!

Fun Friday

This weeks fun Friday was visiting Bryson at work! I'm so glad he works sorta close (depending on traffic), it's about 20-30 min drive.

After picking up Violet from school we drove on over to Greenway Plaza to see Bryson. It is pretty slow in the office on Friday afternoons, so we talked to his co-workers and let the kids watch a show, while Bryson finished up some emails and his typical last meeting of the day.

Watching Jake and the neverland pirates

Im really enjoying "Fun Fridays"! It gives me something to look forward to, including the weekend. And it helps me be a little creative to help the kids have fun too!!

Fun Friday

Once you have kiddos, weekends look completely different than they use too. At least for us they do. I mean we weren't big party goers or bar hoppers. But the fact before you have, kids you can stay up late watching a movie and sleep in until as long as you want to, and slowly go about your day running errands or laying around. With our kids, it's waking up at 7am on Saturday and maybe running one or two errands before naptime. Ha!

Okay back to "fun Friday". When I picked up Violet from school she obviously remembered last "fun Friday" and asked "where are we going?" I told her "home" and she did not like that! Thankfully her handsome surprise aka Daddy aka Bryson had just arrived too! "Yay daddy came home early!!" AKA Labor Day weekend!! So let the fun begin! They watched a movie while I cooked this super easy and delicious dinner:

Martha Stewart Salmon Pasta

We played games and puzzles after dinner and everyone (including Bryson) wad sound asleep by 8:30pm! I heated up a cup of tea and enjoyed a chapter in a book I'm currently reading.

It may not sound like a "fun friday" to anyone else but it was well enjoyed by all in this household!

Owen Summer Fun pt 2

Soooo technically we are back in school but it's still hot outside so it's still summer!!

This is part 2 of our summer fun list;

Train Ride- we were super late to church and decided on a whim to just go ride the train at Hermann Park instead. It was beautiful weather that morning and we enjoyed the ride!

Me and my big babies

Sno-cones:
There is a delicious snocone place in the heights called "mam's snowballs". Originally they started in a little food truck and just changed to a real building! Anyways since the Heights is a little far for us, we had a play date with our friend Kyndall that morning who lives near there and then got snocones! Pretty fun day! And Violet's picture is on the wall!!

Make Vietnamese Food w/Kimmy
This was much anticipated all summer long! We love Vietnamese food!! Violet thought this up all by herself to add to our list. So Kimmy and Ryan came over for dinner one night and taught the kids (and me) how to make springs rolls. So easy and delicious! (And I made them like 3 more times that week!) thanks Kimmy!
Spring rolls!

Splash pad
While we visited my sister in Ft Worth we played at a park and splash pad! The kids had The best time....until Parker slipped and hit his head :( I didn't get any pics of them playing, but it was fun to see the cousins playing together.

Build a fairy house

This girl loves her fairies! We watch one of the several Tinkerbell movies at least once a week. Violet and I had fun making this together! She is so creative! I helped guide her but she was full of ideas!

We have had wonderful summer and have ONE more thing on our list to do: go to the beach!! We will get there eventually!! Thankfully it's only an hour and a good day trip activity!

Fun Friday

This past week the cold/virus that has been lingering in our house finally caught up with me. It first started Wednesday afternoon with a slight tickle in the back of my throat. Then I woke up Thursday morning feeling awful.

Let me tell you, being sick and having to take care of kids is very hard! I knew it was just a cold and prayed it would go away fast. I sorta have a few home remedies that are my "go-to" when a cold pops up.

For example:
1. Lots and lots of water to flush out my system.

2. Drinking Shakeology. It has over 70 whole food ingredients and my daily intake of vitamins

3. Green Tea. I had a sore throat so it helped soothe it and well all know green tea has super powers

4. Vitamins. Since I drink Shakeology daily it has all my daily vitamins in it, but when I'm sick I double (maybe triple) on some vitamins. I popped quite a few vitamin C's and made sure to take L-Lysine since I'm prone to cold sores.

5. Sleep. Actual sleep is one of the best ways a body can recover from being sick.

6. Essential Oils. "When in doubt use Lavender" Friday night along with Vicks vapor rub, I used few drops of lavender oil on my feet. And Saturday I simmered eucalyptus and lavender on the stove all morning. Smelled lovely!

7.  Watching "Blue Crush". Okay, no medical research can actually prove this can cure an illness. But this is my go-to movie when I'm sick. I love Hawaii and well those surfer girls are great motivation to keep exercising!  Sadly I didn't get to watch it because I actually took naps and went to bed fairly early.

Thankfully Friday was a school day for V, so I just had P at home. He played great by himself and enjoyed too much TV, while I literally laid on the couch most of the morning. Bryson offered to stay home, but I knew he had a lot of work and I could manage until V got home, so he planned on coming home early.

So to the fun part of the day....it was the first full week of school! Yippee! The week was great, Violet got herself dressed every morning, took naps at school, and we were getting the hang of all this! I treated the kids to frozen yogurt!! I mean frozen yogurt makes everyone feel better!! We don't go to frozen yogurt often, so the kids/and myself were so excited! And apparently 100 other moms decided to take their kids to frozen yogurt too, because the place was packed! (Great minds think alike?)

Fro-yo!

It was a great time and frozen yogurts healing powers worked (or maybe it was the amount of vitamin C I downed)  because Saturday I felt like a new woman!!

I absolutely hate being sick. I'm such an on the go person that it just messes up my plans. But this past week did remind me that being sick is a great reminder to slow down. That it is important to rest your body and mind and take care of it.

Back to School

We are officially back at school! Violet started preschool K4 this year. She is very happy to be at school but it has taken a little more transition than last year. She is going more days and more hours and well it's just different. While she loves learning and being with kids she has been a wreck at home! She hasn't been nice, has tummy troubles and had asked to stay home from school. It's sad but I think now that she has gone a full week and a half she is getting use to the new schedule...and hasn't asked to stay home.

Pre K 4!!

Parker loves the lockers

A new thing for V at school is taking naps. Last year she went half days and would nap at home. This is the first time for her to take a nap somewhere other than home. I bribed her with a prize if she did take a nap and finally she did!! Today she told me naptime was her favorite at school! Haha!

I think Parker is enjoying the time without his sister at home. He plays really great by himself and well frankly he doesn't have the need to bother anyone. He learns very differently than Violet so I'm still trying to discover ways to teach him.

My pirate and school girl

While I know my kids love each other, they have been fighting SO much lately! I feel like all I've been doing is yelling or putting them in time outs! It's very exhausting. They'll get along eventually right??

We are excited about this school year and are starting to figure out about kindergarten next year already. Time really does fly!

Bathroom Re-do

Early July we found out we had a leak!! Not like a little leak under the sink but a big huge leak in our walls!! It is actually kind if funny how we found it....the entrance to Parker's room felt wet one day, but I had thought he spilled water from his sippy cup. I mean the cup was laying in the doorway. The next morning I went into our closet and it smelled sooo bad!! Bryson had mowed the lawn that week so I thought maybe our laundry was just stinking! So I did laundry! Duh! That same afternoon (Thursday) Parker's carpet still felt damp! That's weird! Bryson came home and I told him about the laundry and the carpet still feeling wet! He looked under the laundry basket and our carpet in the back of our carpet was soaked!! Our shower tile had a crack has been leaking I tow our walls!! It was soooo nasty! An smelly!

A lot of changing plans (it was July 4th weekend), packing our bags, me crying, moving furniture/clothes etc, we cleared out Parker's bedroom and our closet. It was a mess!

Bryson's doing dirty work

Anyways after pulling up carpet and rearranging we are living in our house while remodeling the master bathroom, closet and bedroom!

After insurance inspection we started working on it a few weeks ago! It was so weird to see it all demo-Ed!!

Starting over!

Hello bathroom!

I'm so thankful Bryson knows what he is doing and has built a house before! He has designed for us a bigger brand new bathroom!! With Bryson knowing how to remodel, help from friends and co-worker contractors we are having to pay very little!!

We had the plumbers here drilling our slab (aka shaking the whole house) to relocate the shower drain. Bryson put up the drywall this weekend. And it's being taped and floated as I type!

Shower drain before

Shower drain after

Yay for walls!!!

It has been a process and a lot of adjusting with patience. I think it has really bothered kids at first. Violet told is a few days ago that it was scary and weird looking. And with all the noise and people in and out, it sure has been out of routine/normal here.

I'm excited for the outcome and can't wait to show you more in a few weeks!

3 Day Refresh - Results

I woke up Friday excited!! The 3 day refresh was over and I wanted to know my results!  I got my scale out and did my measurements....super surprised and shocked!

My goal in the 3 Day Refresh was to kickstart better eating habits, to be more aware of healthy food options. And I realized that I do actually really like veggies (no surprise here!) and I should be eating more of them. Don't get me wrong I like pizza and burgers and beer! Which all in moderation is totally fine! Also, I hardly ever lose actual pounds while doing a workout programs. I usually tone up (lose inches) but weight stays the same, which is great!

Here are my results:
Down 6lbs and 2 inches lost from my waist!

Now the two questions that have come up a lot from others have been "omg! Are you starving?!?" Actually no! I had a ton of water and spaced out the fruit, veggies, healthy fat options throughout my day. The Shakeology and Vanilla Fresh shakes have a lot of protein and helped not feeling hungry though its a low calorie/vegan diet. Day 3 was a challenge and I was not being nice! So I doubled my veggie intake to help me out!

Next question "So...TMI but were you like staying home "going to the bathroom" ALL day?!" I totally thought I would be, but nope! I'm sure everyone's body is different but I did not have to be a slave to the potty! After all it is a "cleanse" but I'm "regular" anyways so I did not have tummy troubles and so thankful I could still go out and about during my days! I did pee a lot more, but I was drinking about 100oz of water too.

Thanks for all the questions and encouragement! I would totally recommend the 3 Day Refresh if you are getting ready for an event, after an indulgent vacation, wanting to eat healthier or starting a workout program. I will be doing it again for sure! My next group is starting Monday and I have another one starting August 11 too! So let me know if you are interested!

3 Day Refresh - Day 3

Okay let's be real. Day 3 was my biggest challenge. I was cranky and hungry.

I followed the meal plan but doubled my veggie and hummus intake. This stay at home mommy needed to be nice!! So the extra food helped! And we went to Trader Joe's to pick up a few grocery items and well their hummus is SO good!

I realized on day 3 that until I had the vanilla fresh did I feel full. It has 20 grams of protein so it really helped!! I also really liked the Vanilla Fresh with 2tsp Mexican Vanilla, nutmeg and cinnamon added to it, a few ice cubes and shaken up was really yummy!

I did TurboFire Stretch 40, which is a yoga class. It was so nice to stretch and use my muscles. I needed a distraction!

At dinner I ate a spinach salad with the fam and again after the kids went to sleep I had the Vanilla Fresh. I liked that I have waited to have the Vanilla Fresh until after our typical dinnertime, so it made me still feel satisfied and not starving.

Here is my day 3 meal plan:
Last day!!

I was so excited to go to bed so I could wake up to see if I had any changes!!!

Results coming up next!

3 Day Refresh - Day 2

I woke up hungry! I went quickly to the kitchen drank water and made a yummy chocolate Shakeology for breakfast. And felt much better. Then I are my fruit option for breakfast with the kids.

Since I knew I was not  "running to the bathroom" I decided actually leave the house today. So I quickly packed my fruit and veggies and planned to drink the Vanilla Fresh when we got home. I mixed up and drank the Fiber Sweep (I thought it was better tasting today) and headed out the door.

My kids played and ate lunch at chickfila. Yum!!!!!!! This was hard bc I like chickfila!! I drank a lot of water while we were there and at the carrots and hummus I packed. I actually forgot my fruit But we stopped at a friends house and I snagged a 1/2 banana (thanks Liz!!)  that I knew I could have instead of the strawberries. When we got home I made the Vanilla fresh with Mexican vanilla and cinnamon...it was SO good! And I felt great so I added a 30 min Yoga Fix video.

Evening went as planned, but I decided to go with the spinach salad rather than the planned stir fry. It was a rough night getting the kids to bed and to keep them in bed last night. I was pretty cranky and feeling hungry too! I drank my last vanilla fresh around 9pm, and felt more satisfied.

Day 2 Meal plan

Things I learned:
-Water! Water! Water! It makes you feel full when you are eating low calories during the 3 day refresh!

-The tea is optional, but I liked having it to pass some time before I ate again.

-Make sure you have read the guide. Like I said earlier I forgot my fruit (but knew from writing out my meals and reading the guide) I could have another fruit. So very important to know the guide and be flexible if you need to make changes.

-I don't think this is cheating but I choose  my food choices depending on the amount of actual food is would eat. Does that make sense? Like 12 strawberries sounds so much more filling then 1/2 banana. It's a mind game that you are eating more than you think.

-Spread out your shakes and actual food. It extends the times but also keeps you eating and drinking so your not as hungry.

-If you feel cranky or "hangry" make sure you have had all your food and shakes. If its just unbearable add more veggies rather than the fruit. Try try try to stay with the program! But if you just need to eat something try for a veggie and a healthy fat.

One more day!!!! Let's do this!!

3 Day Refresh - Day 1

Day 1 complete!

It was SO much easier than I thought it would be!! I'm so glad I wrote out all my meals so I could quickly look and then get them out!

Here is what my day looked like:
Day 1 Meal Plan

Each meal is spaced out about an hour from the next. You can gauge it yourself but the program guide suggests to do hour intervals. I stayed home day 1 because I thought I'd be "running to the bathroom" if you know what I mean. But this was not the case at all (at least for me). I was "regular" and glad I wasn't "running to the bathroom".

I normally eat fruit and veggies so I liked what I ate and glad the food I do like are on the list to choose from. I did miss the taste of coffee, since I normally have a small cup every morning. But the optional green tea was good for me too.

I had my usual Shakeology for breakfast. And choose strawberries for my fruit option. You get 12 medium strawberries! Y'all that's a lot. So I snacked all morning on those!

For my mid morning meal it was fiber sweep. It's filled with chia seeds, flax seed and psyllium husks. So super high fiber and omega 3s. (This is why I thought I'd be "running to the bathroom") Anyways I read a couple reviews and ask other Beachbody coaches who have done the refresh and took their advice. Use really really cold water (10-12oz) stir really well an just chug. I left a cup of water in the freezer for 10 mins then added the fiber sweep, stirred an chugged. It sorta has a slight citrus flavor and it is not horrible.

I did feel slightly hungry at times, but I would drink more water and then it was about time to eat my meal or drink a shake.  The Vanilla Fresh has 20 grams of protein was is really filling. I had it twice a day (lunch and dinner) a long with my fruit and veggie option. Since I know myself and its hard with kids to actually sit down and eat. For lunch I would eat my fruit and veggie with them, then after naps I drank the Vanilla Fresh. It helped spread out my food and kept me satisfied. I did the same at dinner..ate my  salsa with the family, then had the vanilla refresh after they went to bed.

I felt good all day. Never felt starving. Had energy, slept great and ready to start day 2!

3 Day Refresh

Today I am starting the 3 Day Refresh! I've never done a cleanse before and honestly I don't like to consciously think of my food/what to eat all day long. But after reading a lot of reviews and talking to my friend Bri who is a dietician (who said this was safe and a healthy way to cleanse) I decided to give it a go!

3 Day Refresh packet and meal plan!

So the 3 Day Refresh consists of 3 daily shakes, a fiber drink, fruits, veggies and healthy fats! The fact that you actually have to eat food sounded good to me! The program guide is super easy to follow and has a list of fruit, veggies and dinner options to choose from. But for me personally, I needed to write down exactly what I would be eating the next three days! (See blue paper above!)

Anyways I'm excited to detox my body of bad food habits, toxins and maybe lose a few pounds (I seem to have hit a little weight plateau, though I'm not too focused on weight, since my clothes still fit great). I'm a little nervous I'm going to be cranky and not very pleasant towards my family. I'll really try not to be! And if I'm just feeling yucky (normal side effect) I'll add in a few more calories or drink another Shakeology.

Here we go!

Big Boy/Girl Bed

This past week we changed the kids into new beds. Parker is 2.5 and HUGE! He is way to big to sleep in pack n plays when we travel but we still let him since we haven't bed trained him yet. At home in his crib he sleeps like a log and has plenty of room.

BUT last week he has been climbing out of his crib...and heads straight to Violet's room! It's actually pretty funny!! And long story short...our shower has been leaking and we are in the process if remolding Parker's room and our bathroom. So P has been changed temporarily to the guest room...and many of you know Violet is a "nomad sleeper" and likes to sleep in different places.

All this to say...a friend gave us a bed that is perfect for Violet! And we changed Parker to the twin! Everyone has been sleeping soundly and doing a great job in their new arrangements! We were a little nervous how Parker would do with the transition but after a few threats of "stay in bed or you are going to time out" he fell right asleep. Violet loves her bigger bed and let's all my dolls and stuffed animals sleep with her! Haha!

Seven Wants...

1. Monogram
Everything! I just looked at my "want" board on Pinterest and most of it is things monograms...necklaces, bags, hats, bathing suits, water bottles, rings, rocking chairs, pillows and the list goes on! My friend Amanda and I have this on-going "send a pin" to each other of anything monogrammed. Haha!

2. Dance Party
Lately I've just wanted a good ole fashion college dance party. I actually told Bryson the other day "I just want to go dance at a club, but I don't want nasty guys looking at me and my friends or I don't want them to try and dance with us!" Haha! Karaoke and a dance party would be fun too.

3. Half Marathon
I took a chance and entered win the lottery for a spot in the Aaramco half marathon....and won! I don't particularly like to run, but have always wanted to complete a half marathon. So here is my chance and here is to healthy and strong training!

4. These tank tops
Also in my "want" or "clothes" boards on Pinterest are these clever sporty tank tops! They are hilarious and I want them ALL!

5. To not yell so much
So I'm sorta a yeller, sometimes or a lot of the times when I get frustrated with my kids! I absolutely hate it when I lose my self control and start barking orders or yelling bc they are disobeying! Ugh! Hate it!

6. A garden
I dream of growing all or most of our veggies and herbs! I know it's a lot of work but would love to try it some day. Currently I grow green onions. Only green onions! Haha! But I'm hoping to expand to basil and one other soon!

7. Shellac nails
I know this is silly but I've been wanting to get a shellac manicure. I rarely get a pedicure or a manicure. I'd rather spend that $30 on a new shirt or on a date night. But maybe for my birthday coming up ill treat myself!
