First Week

We had a successful first week of ministry!! Even though Bryson had I have lived here for 3 weeks already, we were really excited to start this week with our students! Both our tracks (Art track and Campus track) spent a lot of our time on campus. The Campus track is divided into 4 ministry teams and we were given 2 or 3 campuses that we will be spending time on. So this week our "goal" was to decode and prayer walk the campus we were assigned. Decoding is sort of like being an detective. We basically walked around and talked to students and asked them lots of questions about their campus. (For example: Where do students hangout? What's your major? Are their political issues on your campus? Are there clubs or organizations? Are you in any? Is there any Christian clubs? What would make you want to go to one?) So we just asked lots of questions this week! It was really fun on the 3 campuses my group is at, to find out about it! The students in my group are so excited to be here and so encouraged by God to make a difference! Its very motivating! College "campuses" are so different here, then any that I've ever been to! Prayer walking really gave us a chance to pray for the campus, the students, faculty and the surrounding area. I truly believe the Lord is going to GREAT things on the campuses we are at!!
