Irish Soad Bread

I made my first ever homemade loaf of bread! I have been wanting to make bread for awhile now, but always was intimidated with the recipes.  Also I was concerned at how much time (and how messy) it actually took to knead the bread since I dont have a Kitchen Aid to do my dirty work.  Last week I was making a crock pot pulled pork and sauerkraut dinner. (Bryson LOVES sauerkraut and it actually turned out really tasty)  I was remember my friend Kim's Irish Soda bread she made for St. Patrick's day this past year and how yummy it was.  She passed on the recipe and it looked really easy to make AND it was!!

Also last week we found out we are having a BOY!!!  Our ultrasound was awesome and he was moving A LOT!! (I should of known I was pregnant with a boy by all the movement I have felt) We are so excited to meet this little guy! Now all the cousins have a little brother!  (and that means we welcome all hand-me-downs! :)
