Mom-hood community

I've talked about MOPs (mothers of preschoolers...birth-kinder) on here before. I have been a member for the past three years. MOPs is an international mom community. It really has been a huge blessing, help, comfort, and so many more things in the last 3 years.

I had heard if MOPs before but was really nervous to go to a meeting where I didn't know anyone. Let alone as a new mom leave Violet in childcare in the same building as I was in! We were new at HFBC and I found out there was a mops chapter there. I finally went...and looooved it! Now I know every mops is different (as it should be) and meetings run different. But it came to be a perfect fit for my season of life. There were other new moms needing a place to relax and refreshed!

To be completely honest I'm not BFF with anyone in mops. But I've cultivated great friendships there!! We have the same age kids so it's a good place to ask questions or connect and have a play date. And even though our race, age, beliefs may be different, we all have one thing in common...motherhood.

Every other week we meet, have breakfast (brought by different table groups) and then hear a speaker or do a craft.  This semester we have had amazing speakers give advice on how to parent, how to discipline, post pardom depression, occupational therapy and reading to you kids.

If anyone is looking for an amazing community of moms look for a MOPs near you!
