(1951) This verison was actually pretty good for the time it was made! I was really impressed with the action and the special effects. My family watched this on Christmas eve. My dad remembers watching this when he was a little boy and said he was so scared! Okay so I have a cold and I fell asleep before it ended, but all that I saw was good, and Bryson told me the ending....
(2008) It follows closely to the original, with a few changes of course. (I stayed awake through this one...my family saw this the day after Christmas) It had me jumping at a lot of parts, a little teary in a few and well I knew how it was going to end, and thought they did a great job. I totally recommend it, thats my opinion.
It was fun to compare it to the orignial...check it out.
