Hopeful Green Thumb

Yesterday I had the day off from work. The morning was spent doing Pilates and weights followed by a noon time coffee break with Bryson at Benu, a new coffee shop in the Eastside. (really good by the way!) So afterwards I headed to Home Depot to buy a few things: potting soil, air filter, and a copy of our house key. Well I finished gathering all those things and started to wander through the "garden" section. I've recently been dreaming about house plants, our front yard flower/plant bed design and grass.

As I continue my grazing about the plants, I'm reminded of Christmas. We did a Secret Santa gift exchange with the Owen's side and Bryson's Brother-in-law, Alan, gave me a house plant! I was sooooo excited! Pick out the perfect spot in the house: living room, front entrance table, by window. Two days later we get a freeze, and the plant shivered to death inside the house!! RIP

So I've been on the look for another one, and found it! A little leafy green guy, and picked out a perfect pot for it! I had myself a project for the afternoon! I had already been planing to transfer Zinnia's a friend gave us into a big pot and now I wanted to plant the leafy green guy

The Aloe plant now has friends :)

Home Sweet Home

I hope there is a future with these plants :)
