Sleep
So the main question these days is "Is Violet sleeping through the night?" I dont mind it at all, its kind of funny because it's such a curiosity! We are so thankful to say that "yes" at 6 weeks she is sleeping through the night. (and books I have read that a baby sleeping through the night is at least 5 hours) Since she born we always had to wake her up to feed her at night in the first couple of weeks. After her 4 week/one month appointment the doctor said we didn't have to since she was doing great at gaining sufficent weight. Before the doctors appointment I had been setting my alarm clock durning the day and night in order to be on scheudle of feeding her every 3 hours. I mean it was a "loose" schedule...if she woke up before then we would feed her. But it's been really nice to not have to set an alarm all the time!! At night Violet usually goes 4-6 hours from the start of a feeding until the start of the next. But the last two nights she went 8 hours! It was wonderful to sleep a longer amount of time! Anyways if you are pregnant or have a baby I would recommend reading "Baby Wise" or getting the DVD "The Happiest Baby on the Block"
