We have been parents for 3 weeks now! Time really has flown by, I mean I feel like we've had her longer than that. Anyways in no particular order here are a few things that I have learned/realized in the past couple of weeks:
-Always nap when Violet is napping. At least one a day...
-Bad directions + a crying baby = a crying mom and crying baby who doesn't make their appointment
-Remember to shower
-I thought during pregnancy I was hungry...breastfeeding burns on average 500+ calories a day, so always eat and drink lots.
-Speaking of food, I've been craving salads the past 3 weeks.
-When I start to make a meal/snack by the time its ready to eat it seems Violet will cry/fuss...so I gotta be quick.
-Getting out/running an errand by myself feels strange.
-Not sleeping 6-8 hours at night is now normal. But at least V is on a 4 hour schedule at night.
-Always accept help
-My mom tears up almost every morning when I bring Violet downstairs.
-Making the "shhhhhhh" sound loudly calms V.
-Running water sometimes make V sleep.
-I got a CD alarm clock a few years ago that has nature sounds on it. It's been wonderful!
-Sometimes I confuse the sounds of Violet and my parents cat Gary
-Baby girls will pee on you when you change them, it's not just baby boys.
-My pre-pregancy clothes still dont fit and it's okay it's only been 3 weeks.
-Be nice to Bryson

The part about your Mom tearing up almost made me a little misty eyed! So glad to hear you and baby are doing well!
That last one made me laugh. Poor husbands always seem to get it taken out on them! lol
