We spent this years anniversary back in our old stomping grounds of the blessed town of San Marcos, home of the Texas State Bobcats! We found a cute b&b outside of the "city" part called Lime Kiln Bed and Breakfast ". Fun Fact: We actually had our first date on Lime Kiln Road. The owners are super nice, casual and made the place feel like home. We were the only tenants there so we had the backyard pool all to ourselves too. We really liked this b&b because each room had its own private entrance and wasn't attached to any other room. It was like our own little guest house tucked away in the hill country.
After checking in to the b&b we met up with our friends from college: The Hull's, Burchett's and Murphy's all love nearby so we met at the Tap Room and stuffed ourselves with the famous Queso Burger. It's funny how almost all of our friends in college married each other! Its a lot of fun to be able to still hangout together!
The next morning we woke up to a really good breakfast from the owners. The b&b is in a little neighborhood that basically makes a 2 mile loop. So we went on a walk and chatted and came back to these amazing tan lines:
It was SO nice to spend a two nights away together. We had a few things we wanted to do but mostly we wanted to relax! So we took a swim in the pool, drove around San Marcos, ate at Valentino's Pizzeria, went to the hiking trail where we got engaged, ate snocones, took a nap, and got ready for dinner.
We went dinner at Huisache Grill in New Braunfels. We hadn't been here since before we got engaged so it was fun to go back. We had a little bit of a wait but there are boutiques to browse in nearby and the weather was nice enough we weren't too hot. We enjoyed a lovely dinner and had a great view to people watch too.
