My Big Girl

Violet Paige is 6 months today!!! I know, where has the time gone? (<-- I sound a like a real parent using phrases like that huh?!) As with anything (new) it takes time to adjust to having a baby, which we still are doing. But it is so much fun, tiring, amazing, hard, a blessing, time-consuming, wonderful, joy, satisfing, and life-changing to have Violet in our lives! We are thankful she is a happy-easy baby (98% of the time!) and we love her so much!

At 6 months she is:

*Starting to crawl! She army crawls all over the place! But from a sitting position she will lunge forward like today from the pic above and took a few real crawls! Time to baby proof everything...like those stairs in the background!
*Loves to read books
*Sleeps about 10-12 hours every night and usually wakes up one or two times for a feeding
*Nurses about 5-6 times a day, has one formula bottle, and eats solids twice a day
*Babbles and Sings/Yells :)
*Loves when we dance and sing with her

*Favorite game to play is peekaboo/where's Violet?
*Rolling! This makes nap time very difficult sometimes bc she rolls and rolls and can't get comfy
*Takes Three 45 min naps. (trust me, I wish they were longer! But she seems fine with this amount!)
*Starting to want to be held a lot more...
*Her BFF is my moms cat Gary! He will come over to her while she's playing on the ground and just plop down beside her. Violet will usually pull at his fur/pet but he doesn't seem to mind. It's really funny to watch!
*Smiles a lot
*Her fav part of the day is when Daddy comes home! When B walks in she is so excited and will have a huge smile on her face and starts to wiggle so much! I love it!


AND if you remember my post pardom body post...today I was not satisfied with my clothes so I got out my pre-preggo boxes just to try to find my favorite bermuda shorts to try on and THEY FIT!!!!! I was absolutely ready if they didn't, but lo and behold I was able to zip and button them! I was so happy! So I got to work trying on everything else and well some pants/shorts/jeans fit and some dont which is to be expected/maybe never will...I was just super excited to be able to wear some of my pre-preggo clothes again!
