There is way too much to say about our trip to Kansas City weekend! It technically was a business trip for Bryson, but honestly very little business was done. It was more of a fun weekend vacation for us! We only paid for food...yay business trips! We are soooo thankful! If you ever get the chance, go visit KC! I had no idea there was so much cultural there! We stayed in a great location and did a lot of walking around!
Here are some of the highlights:
*Company Open House party. DELICIOUS BBQ and Live Music
*It happened to be the weekend of Plaza Art Fair. We were staying on the Plaza so we went to the fair Friday and Saturday night, did a little shopping and had dinner.
*Also while eating brunch Saturday we had front row curb seats to a parade
*Visiting the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Bryson's grandparents, Violet and Floyd, died there in 1981 in the skybridge collapse. It was sorta of strange feeling being there, sadly they don't even have a memorial or a stature or anything to commemorate the victims. With Bryson's Art Degree I told him he should create a sculpture for the city...
*Visiting the Hospital Bryson was born in and then his old house.
*Seeing Barclay Martin perform live at the Art Fair. It was FREEZING and raining, but still really fun!
*My FIRST professional tailgate and NFL football game! Go Chiefs! Did you know Arrowhead Stadium is the third largest?! ah, it was sooo awesome!
We had amazing seats! Field Level, End Zone!
This trip was the longest we have ever been away from Violet. So we were so happy to see this face when she woke up in the morning after we got home!
