What's been going on? Well we brought in the new year with some of our BFFs in Houston. There was lots of music, dancing and funny memories! Double the one, double the fun!
I've been going on a lot of walks in our new neighborhood. Our complex has a pretty lake in the middle of it, so gives me no excuse to get in some exercise! Check out this HUGE leaf from the cottonwood (I think?) trees:
I've been enjoying meal planning and cooking again. While living at my parents I didn't mind my Dad doing most of the cooking, it was delicious and convenient, but it wasn't always what we wanted to eat. Here is a pic from last night's dinner: Baked Salmon, sauteed asparagus, with whole grain and wild rice! We all loved this, even V!
And now that Violet is a full fledged walker, she is on the go and keeps us on our toes! She is actually 11 months today, on 1-11-11! woah! :) She keeps showing us more and more personality. She has this fake laugh that is hilarious and has started fake crying which is even funnier! She is so curious, a smartypants and jabbers all day long! Here she is showing off matching outfits with her doll "Deena" that my Aunt sent her for Christmas.
And sadly I dont have any pictures, but girlfriends and I took a day trip to Round Top, Texas. It was the perfect meeting point for the ATX girls and us Htown girls to meet. Though Round Top is a very very small town we still had a fun time eating, catching up, laughing and window shopping.
So far 2011 is off to a wonderful start!
