Bathroom Re-do

Early July we found out we had a leak!! Not like a little leak under the sink but a big huge leak in our walls!! It is actually kind if funny how we found it....the entrance to Parker's room felt wet one day, but I had thought he spilled water from his sippy cup. I mean the cup was laying in the doorway. The next morning I went into our closet and it smelled sooo bad!! Bryson had mowed the lawn that week so I thought maybe our laundry was just stinking! So I did laundry! Duh! That same afternoon (Thursday) Parker's carpet still felt damp! That's weird! Bryson came home and I told him about the laundry and the carpet still feeling wet! He looked under the laundry basket and our carpet in the back of our carpet was soaked!! Our shower tile had a crack has been leaking I tow our walls!! It was soooo nasty! An smelly!

A lot of changing plans (it was July 4th weekend), packing our bags, me crying, moving furniture/clothes etc, we cleared out Parker's bedroom and our closet. It was a mess!

Bryson's doing dirty work

Anyways after pulling up carpet and rearranging we are living in our house while remodeling the master bathroom, closet and bedroom!

After insurance inspection we started working on it a few weeks ago! It was so weird to see it all demo-Ed!!

Starting over!

Hello bathroom!

I'm so thankful Bryson knows what he is doing and has built a house before! He has designed for us a bigger brand new bathroom!! With Bryson knowing how to remodel, help from friends and co-worker contractors we are having to pay very little!!

We had the plumbers here drilling our slab (aka shaking the whole house) to relocate the shower drain. Bryson put up the drywall this weekend. And it's being taped and floated as I type!

Yay for walls!!!

It has been a process and a lot of adjusting with patience. I think it has really bothered kids at first. Violet told is a few days ago that it was scary and weird looking. And with all the noise and people in and out, it sure has been out of routine/normal here.

I'm excited for the outcome and can't wait to show you more in a few weeks!
