Fun Friday

Once you have kiddos, weekends look completely different than they use too. At least for us they do. I mean we weren't big party goers or bar hoppers. But the fact before you have, kids you can stay up late watching a movie and sleep in until as long as you want to, and slowly go about your day running errands or laying around. With our kids, it's waking up at 7am on Saturday and maybe running one or two errands before naptime. Ha! 

Okay back to "fun Friday". When I picked up Violet from school she obviously remembered last "fun Friday" and asked "where are we going?" I told her "home" and she did not like that! Thankfully her handsome surprise aka Daddy aka Bryson had just arrived too! "Yay daddy came home early!!" AKA Labor Day weekend!! So let the fun begin! They watched a movie while I cooked this super easy and delicious dinner:

We played games and puzzles after dinner and everyone (including Bryson) wad sound asleep by 8:30pm! I heated up a cup of tea and enjoyed a chapter in a book I'm currently reading. 

It may not sound like a "fun friday" to anyone else but it was well enjoyed by all in this household!
